Empowering Students and Community Through Dance

When you’re here, you’re home.

When you join Sherwood Dance Academy, you join a family. A community of dancers, parents, and staff, all showing true support and encouragement for each other.  Together we explore dance while upholding the values we hold dear: Compassion & Kindness, Inspiring Creativity, Daily Gratitude, Honor & Celebrate, and Community Service.

COMPASSION • CREATIVITY • GRATITUDE • CELEBRATION • SERVICE

• Compassion & Kindness •

From the very first day of class, you will be welcomed as you are and met with kindness and consideration. These values are essential threads in the fabric of human connection, helping weave empathy, understanding, and a sense of belonging into your daily life.

• Inspiring Creativity •

You will be given the space to explore dance as a powerful medium for communicating your emotions, thoughts, and ideas. We believe dance is the purest form of expression, needing only your own body to be creative. For us, dance is not a competition; dance is art.

• Daily Gratitude •

Taking even one moment each day to reflect on and express appreciation for your simple joys, connections, or achievements will help you relish the good in life, foster resilience, and build stronger relationships.

• Honor & Celebrate •

Honoring and celebrating each other means recognizing accomplishments, embracing differences & commonalities, and fostering mutual respect. You will strengthen your connections and contribute to a dance family that uplifts, inspires, and celebrates each other.

• Community Service •

Serving our community is a beautiful way you can become a part of something greater than yourself and greater than our studio. You will take pride and increase your influence by being a part of a stronger, healthier, and more connected community.

“There really aren’t enough words to ever thank you for just how kind you have been to us, not only this past year, but always. You have such a loving and giving heart and we feel so lucky to be a part of your Sherwood Dance.”
