Summer Monthly Memo

It’s been such beautiful summer! We’ve enjoyed the sunshine outside (my tomatoes certainly have… they’re over 8 feet tall!). Inside at the studio, we’ve watched our dance family meet new friends and continue a passion for dance with old friends. We’re gearing up for our 2023-24 Dance Season, but before then, we have our Summer Showcase!

Summer Showcase Details

Time: Saturday, August 19th at 10:30am
Location: Stella Olsen Park, 22256 SW Washington St, Sherwood, OR 97140
At the covered stage.
What to wear: Unless your instructor has directed otherwise, wear your classroom attire.
Cost: $0, nothing, nada, zilch!
Additional Info:

• This is a very low-key, fun event for our dance family to come together and celebrate each other. 

• Seating is on the grass (see pic).  Please save the front half of the lawn for those sitting on blankets or low profile chairs (chairs 0-8 inches off the ground).

• Arrive 15-20 minutes early.

• Parking can be difficult, so please carpool if possible.

• We expect the show to be less than 90 minutes. We’ll be releasing a lineup next week, but we encourage everyone to be there for the whole show to support the hard work of all our dancers.

• Feel free to bring snacks and an early lunch!

Exploration Camp August 21st-25th

Time: 9:30-11:30am (5-7 yrs old), 12-2pm (8-11 yrs old)

Cost: $40 per student/day. Dancers who attend every day of the camp will receive a free SDA Exploration Camp T-shirt!

2023-24 Dance Season

We would love to continue dancing with all of you! We have classes that are already filling, so be sure to enroll soon so you can snag a spot. We can’t wait to unveil how our mission, empowering students and community through dance, will show up through out the dance season. We’ll start in September by sharing dance with our friends during Bring a Friend Week. Check out our schedule and contact us to enroll.

Exciting Changes

A few of you have noticed that we’ve acquired a new space at the Ice Arena. We’re moving the office! We’ll have significantly more space for all of our stuff, but also more apparel. We’ll be taking the month of August to get the space set up (it’s right across the hall from my photography studio right before the restrooms). By the new Dance Season you’ll be able to come say hi to me, Michelle, and Anna in our new office!
